Backend Developer (Go)

EngineeringRemoteFull-time

About the Role

Euclid is a universal financial engine that uses distributed, decentralized technology to create markets across 50+ chains and let trading happen cross-chain, without the need to bridge or use solvers. We've raised $4.1M, including a $3.5M seed from KuCoin Ventures, Gate Ventures, 0G Labs and others, and we're a remote team spread across 7 countries, with HQ in Dubai.

As a Backend Developer, you'll work on the Go platform that sits behind every Euclid product: swap routing, pool indexing, cross-chain transaction tracking, auth, pricing, vaults and our Hyperliquid integration. It's a composed monolith of more than 25 services built on Connect RPC and protobuf, backed by MongoDB, Postgres, Redis, ClickHouse and NATS JetStream, and it runs on Kubernetes. We ship many times a day, and the code you write will move real value.

Requirements

What you'll do

  • Design, build and own Go services end to end: protobuf contract, Connect RPC/REST handler, storage and tests
  • Work on the core DeFi engine, including swap route finding over the pool graph, pool indexing and snapshots, prices, and transaction history
  • Build and harden cross-chain plumbing: on-chain event capture across EVM and non-EVM chains, NATS JetStream pipelines, relayer transaction tracking, and gasless meta-transactions
  • Integrate Rust and EVM smart contracts (router, factory, VLP, vcoin, ERC-20, Multicall3) through typed Go clients and abigen bindings
  • Extend auth: wallet-signature login (EIP-191 and other chain standards), ES256 JWTs, OAuth clients, API keys and scoped permissions
  • Make production reliable with OpenTelemetry tracing, metrics and logs, health checks, alerting, and fixes for real topology gaps like stream replication and leader election
  • Ship through PRs with lint, race-tested CI and GitOps deploys. Review teammates' code and write docs the rest of the team actually relies on

Requirements

  • 3+ years writing production Go, with solid concurrency, context and error-handling habits and comfort with the race detector
  • Experience designing APIs with protobuf, gRPC or Connect, and versioning contracts that frontends and SDKs depend on
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB and at least one of Postgres, Redis or ClickHouse, including indexes, migrations and query performance
  • Experience with event-driven systems such as NATS, Kafka or similar: at-least-once delivery, dedup, checkpoints and backfill
  • A real understanding of blockchain fundamentals: transactions, signing, nonces/sequences, RPC nodes and finality, on EVM or other major chains
  • Strong testing discipline, with unit, integration and e2e tests against real datastores
  • You can work independently on a remote team and communicate clearly in writing

Nice to have

  • Rust, especially Rust smart contracts, or experience with cross-chain messaging and relayers
  • go-ethereum, abigen and EVM contract integration; experience with Hyperliquid, orderbooks or perps
  • DeFi domain knowledge: AMMs (constant product, stable, concentrated liquidity), routing, vaults/NAV, fees
  • Kubernetes, Kustomize, Argo CD and running stateful infra (Redis Sentinel, NATS clusters, Mongo replica sets)
  • OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus or OpenObserve
  • Buf / BSR, OpenAPI generation, and SDK design
  • Comfortable using AI coding and review tools in your daily workflow

Compensation & benefits

  • Competitive USD base salary
  • Performance-linked variable pay
  • Generous token allocation
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Fully remote, async-friendly team across 7 countries
